Job summary

Avanath Capital Management, LLC is seeking a Maintenance Supervisor to oversee maintenance staff and vendor partners across multifamily communities in Portland, Oregon. You will lead quality move-ins, timely service, and curb appeal while delivering outstanding resident experiences.

The role requires 3+ years in multifamily maintenance, 1 year supervisory experience, and proficiency in plumbing, HVAC, electrical, and carpentry.

Qualifications

• At least 3 years of multifamily property maintenance experience.
• One year of supervisory experience required.
• Expertise in plumbing, HVAC, appliance repair, electrical, and carpentry work is required.
• HVAC and CPO certifications are highly desired.
• Valid Driver’s License.
• Very strong organizational skills and ability to handle multiple priorities.
• Solid interpersonal and customer service skills.
• Must be available for on-call and weekend work.

Responsibilities

• Demonstrates customer service skills by treating residents and others with respect, answering questions from the team and residents, and assigning work orders with efficiency and urgency.
• Projects a favorable image of the community to achieve property objectives and public recognition.
• Ensure consistency, follow-up, and follow-through in dealing with residents on all matters.
• Enforce policies of the community that are delegated by Community Manager.
• Assists and completes work orders generated from resident requests for service, as well as routine upkeep on the community by diagnosing the source or cause of the defect or problem, and making repairs in accordance with policies, procedures, safety standards, and code requirements.
