Job summary

Tenderloin Neighborhood Development Corporation is seeking a Portfolio Maintenance Manager in San Francisco to oversee maintenance across a portfolio of properties, ensuring unit turns, work orders, and small projects are completed to high standards. The role supports site teams and responds promptly to emergencies.

Reporting to the Director of Property Operations, you will lead maintenance supervisors, coordinate with internal departments, and drive maintenance initiatives across multiple sites

Qualifications

• 5+ years of experience in property maintenance, preferably in PSH or multifamily portfolios.
• Knowledge of residential property management, building systems, housing quality standards, maintenance protocols, and regulatory compliance.
• Travel between properties as needed.
• Proficiency in Yardi and MS Office. Ability to read and interpret documents and plans.

Responsibilities

• Oversee maintenance supervisors, including hiring, scheduling, and assigning work.
• Review employee performance and manage salary actions, promotions, transfers, and disciplinary actions.
• Oversee assigned properties and maintenance staff.
• Review property maintenance performance across the portfolio to identify gaps and opportunities for improvement.
• Ensure quality control of unit turns and timely punch-list completion.
• Coordinate with vendors and internal teams on site-level maintenance projects.
• Lead emergency response for unit-level incidents and ensure safety.
