Job summary

Tenderloin Neighborhood Development Corporation is seeking a Maintenance III to oversee maintenance and custodial staff at Turk Street properties in San Francisco. The role reports to the General Manager II and is 100% on-site with a standard daytime schedule and after-hours on-call support.

The position requires supervisory experience, familiarity with building trades (plumbing, electrical, carpentry), and strong communication with residents and staff.

Qualifications

• Six months of residential housing maintenance experience.
• Minimum of 1 year supervisory experience; 2+ years preferred.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook).
• Two years of building trades experience (plumbing, electrical, carpentry or appliance repair).
• Ability to lift up to 75 pounds and use hand/power tools.
• Excellent interpersonal skills and ability to work with diverse populations.

Responsibilities

• Hire, supervise and evaluate maintenance and custodial staff.
• Respond to daily work orders and perform plumbing, carpentry and electrical tasks.
• Paint, patch, and repair walls and ceilings; inspect units monthly.
• Maintain fire and life safety, and preventive maintenance records.
• Coordinate with supervisor and residents; ensure safety compliance.
