Job summary

Securitas US Business Unit in Portland seeks a Multi Site Security Officer to protect people, property, and assets across multiple sites in the Portland Metro area. This full-time role requires availability any day and at least two shifts.

You will patrol premises, monitor surveillance, control access, and respond to emergencies while maintaining safety protocols. Competitive hourly wage $22.00-$23.00 with benefits and weekly pay.

Qualifications

• 18+ years of age or older.
• High School Diploma or GED required.
• Ability to work independently and calmly under pressure.
• Excellent customer service and communication skills.
• Pre-employment screening including drug test and background check.

Responsibilities

• Conduct regular patrols of premises and access points.
• Monitor surveillance cameras, alarms, and security equipment.
• Verify identifications and manage visitor logs to control access.

Multi Site Security Officer — Full Time

Must be available any day, at least two shifts & will be stationed at various site locations in the Portland Metro area

Primary Site Location:

Wage: $22.00-$23.00/Hour

The Security Officer protects people, property, and assets by patrolling premises, monitoring systems, controlling access, and responding to emergencies to maintain a safe and secure environment. They serve as a helpful professional resource while ensuring everyone on the property follows safety protocols.

Objectives

• Ensure the safety and security of personnel, property, and company assets.
• Maintain a secure environment that protects employees, customers, and visitors from harm.
• Help prevent theft, vandalism, unauthorized access, and other security threats.
• Respond effectively to emergencies and security incidents to minimize risk and damage.
• Uphold company policies, safety regulations, and legal compliance standards.
• Provide visible deterrence against criminal activity and suspicious behavior.
• Support organizational operations by creating a safe and secure workplace.
• Protect sensitive information and intellectual property from unauthorized access.
• Conflict resolution and de-escalation.
• Perform access control at security entrances / exits.

Responsibilities

• Conduct regular patrols of premises including buildings, parking lots, & entry points to identify potential security risks.
• Monitor and operate surveillance cameras, alarm systems, and security equipment.
• Control building access by verifying identification, checking credentials, and managing visitor logs.
• Respond promptly to alarms, disturbances, emergencies, and security incidents.
• Enforce security protocols, company rules, and regulations for premises, personnel, and visitors.
• Inspect doors, windows, gates, and security equipment to prevent unauthorized access.
• Investigate suspicious activities, behavior, and security breaches.

Requirements

• 18 years of age or older.
• High School Diploma or GED required.
• Above average computer / technology skills needed.
• Prior Security, Law Enforcement or Military experience a plus!!
• Excellent customer service and team leadership skills needed.
• Must be able to work independently.
• Must have the ability to remain calm under pressure.
• Must have great attention to detail and remain vigilant throughout shift.
• Must be able to respond to emergencies with rapid / effective judgement and use appropriate escalation.
• Must have strong observational skills, excellent communication abilities, and quick decision-making capabilities.
• All candidates must be willing to participate in the Company’s pre-employment screening process, including drug screen and background investigation.
