Securitas, Inc. in Portland, OR is seeking a Part Time Security Officer to protect people, property, and assets by patrolling premises, monitoring systems, controlling access, and responding to emergencies.

The position requires 18+ years old, a High School Diploma or GED, and strong customer service and teamwork skills. Schedule is Sunday–Monday 11pm–7am with benefits and weekly pay. Pre-employment screening is required.

Qualifications

• Enforce security protocols and company rules.
• Inspect doors, windows, and equipment to prevent unauthorized access.
• Investigate suspicious activities and security breaches.

Security Officer — Part Time

Site Location: Portland, OR

Wage: $20.80/HR

Schedule: Sunday - Monday 11pm-7am

The Security Officer protects people, property, and assets by patrolling premises, monitoring systems, controlling access, and responding to emergencies to maintain a safe and secure environment. They serve as a helpful professional resource while ensuring everyone on the property follows safety protocols.

Objectives

• Ensure the safety and security of personnel, property, and company assets.


• Maintain a secure environment that protects employees, customers, and visitors from harm.


• Help prevent theft, vandalism, unauthorized access, and other security threats.


• Respond effectively to emergencies and security incidents to minimize risk and damage.

Responsibilities

• Respond promptly to alarms, disturbances, emergencies, and security incidents.


• Enforce security protocols, company rules, and regulations for premises, personnel, and visitors.


• Inspect doors, windows, gates, and security equipment to prevent unauthorized access.


• Investigate suspicious activities, behavior, and security breaches.

Requirements

• 18 years of age or older.


• High School Diploma or GED required.


• Above average computer / technology skills needed.


• Prior Security, Law Enforcement or Military experience a plus!!


• Excellent customer service and team leadership skills needed.


• Must be able to work independently.


• Must have the ability to remain calm under pressure.


• Must have great attention to detail and remain vigilant throughout shift.


• Must be able to respond to emergencies with rapid / effective judgement and use appropriate escalation.


• Must have strong observational skills, excellent communication abilities, and quick decision-making capabilities.
