Job summary

PLS Logistics Service in Columbus, OH is seeking a Facility Maintenance Technician to support all area store locations. You will initiate, perform and oversee preventative maintenance and small improvement projects.

Candidates should have 1–2 years of facility maintenance experience, basic electrical, carpentry, plumbing and painting skills, a valid driver’s license, and the ability to lift 75 lbs. The role requires 40 hours per week with an 8-hour shift and travel within the PLS market area.

Qualifications

• 1–2 years of facility maintenance experience.
• Basic electrical, carpentry, plumbing and painting skills.
• Valid driver’s license, good driving record, reliable transportation.
• Able to work an 8-hour shift, 40 hours/week.
• Able to work with minimal supervision.
• Able to safely use hand and power tools.
• Travel within PLS market area of Cleveland OH, Columbus OH & Cincinnati OH with occasional travel to Indianapolis, IN and Louisville, KY.

Responsibilities

• Initiate, perform and oversee maintenance projects for all area PLS store locations.
• Perform repairs such as basic electrical, plumbing, carpentry and painting.
• Troubleshoot equipment problems and perform necessary repairs.
• Respond to emergency maintenance requests promptly.
• Develop scopes of work for small improvements/services and bid to qualified contractors.
• Obtain estimates for supplies, repair parts, and order parts as needed.
