Job summary

BCS in Brooklyn seeks a Maintenance Supervisor to oversee maintenance and custodial staff across program locations. You will implement SOPs, manage preventive schedules, and supervise safety, repairs, and housekeeping to ensure safe spaces for staff and clients. On-call coverage for nights and weekends is required.

Reports to the Director of Facilities and collaborates with the Facility Coordinator and program directors to maintain building integrity across multiple sites in Brooklyn.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• 6–10 years in skilled trades (carpentry, electrical, plumbing or HVAC).
• 3+ years facilities management experience.
• Valid driver's license with clean record; ability to lift up to 50 pounds.

Responsibilities

• Lead maintenance staff and conduct performance reviews.
• Perform and oversee plumbing, electrical, HVAC, carpentry, and repairs.
• Conduct semiannual facility inspections for safety and repairs.
• Maintain HVAC, fire alarm, elevator logs and preventive maintenance records.
• Estimate labor/material costs and manage inventory and vendor contracts.
• Move furniture/equipment and drive light trucks for supplies.
