Job summary

Accelera is seeking aMaintenance Manager to oversee technical operations across multiple manufacturing sites in Michigan. You will drive equipment performance, manage preventive maintenance, mentor staff, and minimize downtime for injection molding hardware, robotics, and automation systems.

The role balances management duties with hands-on technical problem-solving on the factory floor, guiding maintenance teams to improve reliability and process efficiency.

Qualifications

• Minimum 5 years of practical industrial maintenance experience in manufacturing.
• At least 3 years in a supervisory or team leadership capacity.
• Proven background in maintenance of plastic injection molding machinery.
• Familiarity with automated manufacturing systems and auxiliary injection molding equipment.
• Diagnostics across pneumatic, hydraulic, electrical and mechanical systems.
• Background with PLC-based equipment and industrial robotics is highly desired.
• Associate degree, trade school certification, or equivalent field experience.

Responsibilities

• Direct maintenance functions across two production sites.
• Mentor and guide maintenance staff for growth and performance.
• Ensure asset reliability by overseeing repairs and preventive maintenance programs.
• Diagnose issues in injection molding units, robotics, automation, and PLC systems.
• Apply root cause analysis to improve equipment availability.
• Coordinate maintenance workflows, parts inventory, and work orders.
• Monitor metrics to boost uptime and maintenance efficiency.
• Collaborate with Engineering, Quality and Production to enhance processes.
• Facilitate installation of new machinery and system upgrades.
• Promote safety in all maintenance tasks within timelines.
