Job summary

Costello Property Management LLC in Eagle Butte, SD, is seeking a Maintenance & Grounds Technician for full-time work at our apartment communities. You will assist the Site Manager to maintain interiors and exteriors and ensure proper operation of appliances, HVAC, lighting, and fixtures.

The ideal candidate has prior customer service or remodeling experience, teamwork, a valid driver’s license, reliable transportation, and a commitment to confidentiality and punctuality.

Qualifications

• Previous customer service experience.
• Previous remodeling or construction experience.
• Ability to take direction from others and work as a team.
• Exhibit excellent oral and written communication skills.
• Willingness to work independently while staying on task.
• A drive to be successful.
• Understanding of the importance of confidentiality.
• Must be punctual and reliable.

Responsibilities

• Perform maintenance duties, including electrical, plumbing, drywall, appliance repairs, improvements, and other maintenance duties.
• Get units rent ready when they are vacated.
• Complete sidewalk snow removal for 2” or less.
• Maintain the grounds by picking up trash, maintain trash receptacles, and pull weeds every week.
• Perform inspections of grounds and tenant units with the Site Managers and/or Regional Managers.
• Provide efficient customer service to residents.
