Job summary

Costello Property Management is seeking a Maintenance & Grounds Technician to support site operations across apartment communities. The role involves hands-on maintenance of interiors and exteriors, ensuring appliances, HVAC, and lighting function correctly, and assisting the Site Manager to keep properties well-maintained.

The position emphasizes customer service to residents, punctuality, reliability, and the ability to work both independently and with a team, including after-hours emergencies

Qualifications

• Previous customer service experience.
• Remodeling or construction experience.
• Ability to take direction from others and work as a team.
• Exhibit excellent oral and written communication skills.
• Willingness to work independently while staying on task.
• A drive to be successful.
• Understanding of the importance of confidentiality.

Responsibilities

• Perform maintenance duties, including electrical, plumbing, drywall, appliance repairs, improvements, and other maintenance duties.
• Get units rent ready when they are vacated.
• Complete sidewalk snow removal for 2” or less.
• Maintain the grounds by picking up trash, maintain trash receptacles, and pull weeds every week.
• Perform inspections of grounds and tenant units with the Site Managers and/or Regional Managers.
• Provide efficient customer service to residents.
