Costello Companies is seeking a full-time Maintenance & Grounds Technician to support multiple complexes in Spearfish, SD and surrounding areas. You will assist the Site Manager maintaining interiors and exteriors, ensuring appliance operation, HVAC and lighting function, and safety compliance.

The role emphasizes hands-on repairs, customer service excellence, reliability, and teamwork. Travel between properties is required with a valid driver's license, and the position includes on-call duties

3. Complete sidewalk snow removal for 2” or less.
4. Maintain the grounds by picking up trash, maintain trash receptacles, and pull weeds every week.
5. Perform inspections of grounds and tenant units with the Site Managers and/or Regional Managers.
6. Provide efficient customer service to residents.

Position Summary

The Maintenance & Grounds Technician is responsible for assisting the Site Manager in performing all duties and functions required for the efficient operation of their apartment and townhome communities. The Maintenance Technician is responsible for maintaining the interior and exterior of apartment and townhome communities. Additionally, the Maintenance Technician must ensure the proper operation of all appliances, heating and cooling units, and light fixtures.

Salary Description

$18.00 – $20.00 per hour

Requirements

• Must be willing to travel between Spearfish, Lead, and Newell
• Must have hand tools to use on the job site.
• Must be able to provide proof of eligibility to work in the United States.
• Ability to work 40 hours per week + on-call for after-hours emergencies.
• Must have a valid driver's license, reliable transportation, and automobile insurance.
• Must be willing and able to use personal vehicle for work purposes and travel between properties.
