Job summary

Costello Companies is seeking a full-time Maintenance & Grounds Technician to support multiple complexes in Spearfish, SD and surrounding areas. You will assist the Site Manager maintaining interiors and exteriors, ensuring appliance operation, HVAC and lighting function, and safety compliance.

The role emphasizes hands-on repairs, customer service excellence, reliability, and teamwork. Travel between properties is required with a valid driver's license, and the position includes on-call duties

Qualifications

Previous customer service experience.
Previous remodeling or construction experience.
Ability to take direction from others and work as a team.
Exhibit excellent oral and written communication skills.
Willingness to work independently while staying on task.
A drive to be successful.
Understanding of the importance of confidentiality.
Must be punctual and reliable.

Responsibilities

Perform maintenance duties, including electrical, plumbing, dry wall, appliance repairs, improvements, and other maintenance duties.
Get units rent ready when they are vacated.
Complete sidewalk snow removal for 2” or less.
Maintain the grounds by picking up trash, maintain trash receptacles, and pull weeds every week.
Perform inspections of grounds and tenant units with the Site Managers and/or Regional Managers.
Provide efficient customer service to residents.
