Job summary

Allegheny Millwork is seeking a Helpdesk Support Technician to provide first- and second-line IT support across our organization, handling end-user hardware, software, accounts, and connectivity in a manufacturing setting.

You’ll gain hands-on experience with Microsoft 365, Entra ID, Windows 11, Intune, and basic network troubleshooting while supporting six divisions and onsite travel to Phoenix, McSherrystown, and Pittsburgh.

Qualifications

• 1–3 years of helpdesk or IT support experience.
• Experience with Windows 11 and PC hardware troubleshooting.
• Familiarity with Microsoft 365 (Outlook, Teams, SharePoint, OneDrive).
• Exposure to Active Directory / Entra ID user and group management.
• Basic network connectivity troubleshooting (Wi-Fi, VPN).
• Strong communication skills to explain technical issues to non-technical staff.
• Ability to prioritize and manage a ticket queue across multiple sites.
• Valid driver's license for occasional site travel.

Responsibilities

• Provide first-line and second-line helpdesk support via ticketing, phone, and in-person.
• Manage user accounts, licensing, and access in Microsoft 365 and Entra ID.
• Support Windows 11 desktops and laptops, including imaging and patching.
• Assist with device enrollment, compliance policies, and app deployment via Intune.
• Troubleshoot basic network issues and escalate complex problems.
• Support printers, scanners, and peripheral hardware.
• Set up new hire workstations and handle offboarding.
• Maintain accurate documentation of issues and IT assets.
• Assist with AV/conference room support (Teams Rooms, displays).
• Travel occasionally to Phoenix, McSherrystown, and Pittsburgh for onsite support.
