Catholic Charities of the Archdiocese of St. Louis is seeking a skilled Human Resources Manager to provide hands-on HR support across several social services locations, as the local extension of the Ministry Office HR.

The role delivers day-to-day HR consultation to managers and coworkers, ensuring consistent policy application and managing the coworker lifecycle. The starting salary is $60,000, with opportunities for higher compensation based on experience, and the role requires travel among

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in HR, Business, or related field.
• 3–5 years of HR generalist/manager experience; multisite or social services/non-profit preferred; SHRM CP/PHR preferred.

Responsibilities

• Serve as primary HR contact for assigned service line locations; advise leaders on staffing, scheduling, coaching, performance management and corrective action.
• Facilitate coworker relations, conduct investigations, and document outcomes per Ministry Office standards.
• Partner with hiring managers on requisitions, sourcing, interviews, references, offers and onboarding.
• Support orientation at service line location; coordinate training through Ministry Office programs (OSHA/HIPAA/Safe Environment).
• Support engagement and retention initiatives (recognition, feedback loops, stay interviews).
• Educate coworkers on benefits and leave processes; coordinate with the Ministry Office.
• Support leave administration (FMLA, ADA) and return-to-work.
• Maintain personnel files; ensure postings and E-Verify compliance.
• Support Joint Commission readiness; participate in HR-related audits.
• Ensure timely HRIS transactions; act as local payroll backup as directed by HR Senior Director.
• Liaise with union representatives at the site level (if applicable) and elevate complex matters.
• Coordinate safety-related requirements (injury reporting, workers’ comp, OSHA logs) with Risk Mgmt. and Ministry Office HR.
• Recommend process improvements that enhance quality, coworker experience, and efficiency across sites.
