Job summary

Goodwill Industries of the Chesapeake is seeking a Facilities & Construction Manager to lead maintenance, repairs, and capital projects acrossour retail stores, donation centers, corporate offices, and facilities in Central Maryland and the Eastern Shore. You will supervise technicians, manage contractors, and drive renovations and new store openings.

The role requires strong technical knowledge, project management, and the ability to handle multiple priorities across a diverse portfolio.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Five+ years in facilities, maintenance, construction, or building operations.
• Two+ years leading construction, renovation, or capital projects.
• Two+ years of supervisory experience.
• Valid Maryland driver's license.

Responsibilities

• Oversee maintenance and repairs across multiple locations.
• Supervise facilities technicians and manage work orders.
• Coordinate preventive maintenance for HVAC, electrical, plumbing, and building systems.
• Manage construction, renovations, and store refresh projects.
• Negotiate contracts, review bids, and control project costs.
• Develop budgets, schedules, and change order docs.
• Ensure safety, code compliance, and quality workmanship.
• Coordinate permitting, inspections, and project closeout.
• Lead cross-functional collaboration with operations and real estate.
