Job summary

The EHS Manager at Nahan oversees safety programs across MN and PA, ensuring OSHA/EPA compliance and risk reduction. The role leads incident investigations, tracks metrics, and manages workers’ compensation and budgets.

Travel is occasional to monitor operations and train teams. The ideal candidate holds a Bachelor’s degree in Environmental Safety or similar with 10+ years in manufacturing EHS, strong leadership, and proficiency in MS Office.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Environmental Safety or equivalent; 10+ years leading large-scale manufacturing EHS programs.
• Strong history of leadership in print production, industrial, or manufacturing environments.
• Advanced training or certification in EHS and risk management preferred.
• Extensive knowledge of machine guarding, lockout/tagout, electrical hazard training, ergonomics, hazard analysis, and incident metrics.
• Extensive knowledge of environmental regulations and policies.

Responsibilities

• Ensures facilities operations comply with OSHA, EPA, MPCA and related rules.
• Collaborates to develop, implement EHS policies and procedures.
• Leads safety program evaluation and continuous improvement.
• Conducts root-cause investigations of incidents and reports.
• Analyzes incident data to drive safer work practices.
• Coaches leaders to build a safety-focused culture.
• Manages Worker’s Compensation claims for the organization.
• Maintains records in line with federal and state guidelines.
• Prepares monthly data and reports for senior leadership.
• Leads yearly Safety budget planning and cost tracking.
