Job summary

DHL Supply Chain is seeking a General Manager I - Distribution to lead multiple sites across the region. You will report to regional leadership and drive strategic processes to optimize warehouse operations, safety, and productivity.

You will guide a team of Operations Managers, manage vendor relations, and ensure cost-effective services while maintaining customer satisfaction. The role offers significant impact within DHL’s contract logistics footprint.

Qualifications

• 5+ years managerial/supervisory experience required.
• 2+ years experience in a supply chain, warehousing or distribution environment required.
• Experience in 3PL and/or Contract Logistics preferred.
• Staff management required.
• P&L management preferred.
• Project management preferred.
• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent preferred.
• WMS experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Oversee day-to-day warehouse operations including receiving, storing and shipping.
• Develop and implement strategies to optimize warehouse processes, reduce costs and increase productivity.
• Lead and motivate a team of Operations Managers and staff; foster a strong team culture.
• Ensure safety, compliance with regulations and company policies; maintain a clean, safe, efficient workplace.
• Utilize WMS, automation and technology to track inventory and monitor performance metrics.
• Manage vendor relationships and ensure cost-effective services per the commercial agreement.
• Prepare and analyze reports on warehouse performance and key metrics for decision-making.
• Lead customer relationships with daily contact to ensure satisfaction.
• Own the site's P&L and influence outcomes through customer relationships.
• Prepare and present Monthly/Quarterly Business Reviews (MBR/QBR) to customers.
