Job summary

DHL Supply Chain is seeking a General Manager II – Distribution to lead our warehouse operations and strategic initiatives across a broad distribution network. You will guide a team of managers and staff, drive efficiency, and ensure safe, productive performance in a fast-paced environment.

With a focus on P&L, customer relationships, and deployment of WMS/automation, you will report on performance and drive continuous improvement within DHL Supply Chain North America.

Qualifications

• At least 5 years of managerial/supervisory experience in warehousing or distribution.
• Minimum 2 years in a supply chain, warehousing or distribution environment.
• Experience in 3PL and/or contract logistics preferred.
• Staff management experience is required.
• Experience in P&L management preferred.
• Project management experience preferred.
• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent is preferred; WMS experience is desirable.

Responsibilities

• Oversee day-to-day warehouse operations including receiving, storing and shipping.
• Develop and implement strategies to optimize processes, reduce costs and boost productivity.
• Lead and mentor Operations Managers and staff, building a strong team culture.
• Ensure safety compliance and maintain a clean, efficient working environment.
• Utilize WMS and automation to track inventory and identify improvements.
• Manage vendor relationships and ensure cost-effective services within the contract.
• Prepare reports on warehouse performance and lead Monthly/Quarterly business reviews with customers.
• Maintain close daily contact with customers to ensure satisfaction and retention.
• Oversee site P&L and contribute to overall profitability.
