Job summary

DHL Supply Chain in the United States seeks a General Manager III - Distribution to oversee day-to-day warehouse operations, drive cost efficiency, and lead a multi-site team toward safety and productivity.

The role emphasizes strategic process improvement, vendor relations, and reporting on performance, with focus on P&L responsibility and strong customer satisfaction across the network.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of managerial or supervisory experience.
• 2+ years of experience in a supply chain, warehousing or distribution environment.
• Experience in 3PL and/or Contract Logistics is preferred.
• Staff management experience is required.
• P&L management experience is preferred.
• Project management experience is preferred.
• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent is preferred.
• Warehouse Management Systems (WMS) experience is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Oversee day-to-day warehouse operations (receiving, storing, shipping) efficiently and accurately.
• Develop and implement strategies to optimize processes, reduce costs, and boost productivity.
• Lead and motivate Operations Managers and staff, building a strong team culture.
• Ensure safety compliance and maintain a safe, clean working environment.
• Utilize WMS, automation and technology to track inventory and performance metrics.
• Manage vendor relationships and ensure cost-effective services per contractual terms.
• Prepare and analyze reports on warehouse performance and inventory levels.
• Maintain close daily contact with customers to ensure satisfaction.
• Oversee the facility's P&L and contribute to MB/R presentations.
