Job summary

Mattapan Health & Rehabilitation Center seeks a Central Supply Clerk to ensure timely supplies and equipment across three nearby facilities. You will coordinate orders, monitor inventories, and work with nursing leadership to support patient care.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED preferred.
• DME knowledge and purchasing experience preferred.
• Proficiency with computers and programs such as Microsoft Office; basic typing skills.
• Valid driver license if assigned.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate medical supply and equipment orders for the facility and new resident admissions.
• Work with nursing leadership and other team members to obtain approval for orders.
• Maintain inventory levels and monitor supply needs throughout the facility.
• Receive, organize, and document incoming supplies and equipment.
• Maintain accurate inventory records and track equipment as needed.
• Monitor stock levels, expiration dates, and product rotation to minimize waste.
• Keep central supply areas, nursing supply areas, and designated spaces clean and stocked.
• Prepare supply carts and equipment for new resident admissions.
• Coordinate DME orders and obtain required documentation.
• Communicate with approved vendors regarding orders, deliveries, equipment, and repairs.
• Monitor equipment for safety and remove damaged or malfunctioning items.
• Coordinate repairs, replacements, or vendor services when needed.
• Maintain purchasing, inventory, and equipment documentation.
• Assist with transporting or picking up supplies from other locations when assigned.
• Follow all facility policies on safety, HIPAA, and infection prevention.
• Support the mission and service standards of Mattapan Health & Rehabilitation Center.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
