Job summary

UniFirst in Grayling, MI is seeking a Route Coverage Specialist to step in on routes when Route Service Representatives are unavailable. You’ll load, transport, and return garments and products, ensuring timely service and strong customer relations.

This role requires a valid driver's license, DOT compliance, a high school diploma or equivalent, and the ability to lift up to 50 lbs. You’ll work on multiple routes with autonomy and in collaboration with service and management teams.

Qualifications

• Must be at least 21 years old with a valid driver's license and a clean driving record.
• Meet all Department of Transportation (DOT) requirements, including a physical exam.
• High school diploma, GED, or military service required.
• Strong customer service skills; able to work independently.
• Prior experience in customer service, route sales, or delivery is a plus.
• Tech-savvy and capable of learning new technologies.
• Physical stamina to lift up to 50 lbs. and stand for long periods.

Responsibilities

• Develop proficiency across multiple routes and learn customer-specific details.
• Deliver garments and products to customers along established routes.
• Provide excellent customer service and maintain customer relationships.
• Problem-solve customer requests independently.
• Manage invoices, conduct inventory audits, and maintain vehicle safety/appearance.
• Follow traffic laws and safety standards.
• Collaborate with Service and Management Teams on route support and upselling.
