Job summary

UniFirst is seeking a Route Coverage Specialist to support delivery routes when Route Service Representatives are unavailable. You will load and transport clean garments, ensure timely service, and protect customer relationships through proactive communication.

The role emphasizes safety, DOT compliance, and operational excellence while offering variety and autonomy within a collaborative team environment.

Qualifications

• Must be at least 21 years old with a valid driver's license and reliable transportation.
• DOT requirements must be met, including a physical exam.
• High school diploma, GED, or military service required.
• Ability to work independently while delivering excellent customer service.
• Prior experience in customer service, route sales, or delivery is a plus.
• Tech-savvy and comfortable using new technologies to improve efficiency.
• Physical stamina to lift, carry, and push up to 50 lbs and stand for extended periods.

Responsibilities

• Develop proficiency across multiple routes and learn customer-specific details to provide top-tier service.
• Deliver garments and products to customers along established routes; collect used garments for return.
• Provide excellent customer service and build strong relationships with customers.
• Resolve customer requests independently and maintain satisfaction.
• Accurately manage invoices, conduct inventory checks, and maintain vehicle safety and appearance.
• Follow safety standards and traffic laws to ensure personal and customer safety.
• Support new account installations and assist RSRs on routes; participate in rerouting efforts and collections.
• Share customer feedback with leadership and monitor competitor activity in the local market.
