Job summary

Sun Hill Properties Inc. seeks an Area General Manager to provide strategic leadership and operational oversight for a portfolio of Marriott-branded hotels in California.

You will report to executive leadership and ownership, driving operational excellence, financial performance, and guest satisfaction while developing high-performing teams across properties. Responsibilities include leading hotel openings and renovations, ensuring Marriott standards, and partnering with Sales and Revenue teams

Qualifications

• Leadership experience across multi-property hotel portfolios.
• Strong financial acumen including budgeting and forecasting.
• Experience with Marriott brand standards and systems.

Responsibilities

• Provide strategic direction for all hotel operations (Rooms, F&B, Sales, Engineering).
• Lead and develop General Managers and executive teams.
• Ensure brand compliance and execution of Marriott standards across portfolio.
• Oversee openings, transitions, renovations, and projects.
• Drive profitability through revenue strategies and expense management.
• Oversee budgets, forecasts, and financial reporting.
• Monitor KPIs (RevPAR, ADR, occupancy, GOP, NOI) and take corrective action.
