Job summary

Sun Hill Properties Inc. seeks an Area General Manager to provide strategic leadership and operational oversight for a portfolio of Marriott-branded hotels. You will drive financial performance, brand compliance, and guest satisfaction while developing top talent across properties.

Reporting to executives and ownership, you will ensure Marriott standards are consistently executed, manage annual budgets, and lead revenue and market initiatives for sustainable growth.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Hospitality Management, Business Administration, or a related field; advanced degree preferred.
• Minimum 5-7 years of progressive hospitality leadership experience, including multi-property oversight within full-service hotels.
• Extensive experience managing Marriott-branded properties and thorough knowledge of Marriott systems, brand standards, and operational programs.
• Proven executive leadership with the ability to lead, develop, and inspire multi-property hotel leadership teams.

Responsibilities

• Provide strategic direction and oversight for all hotel operations across Rooms, F&B, Sales & Marketing, Engineering, and more.
• Lead GMs and executive teams to achieve operational and financial objectives.
• Ensure consistent execution of Marriott standards and corporate initiatives across the portfolio.
• Oversee openings, renovations, and special projects as assigned.
• Drive profitability through revenue strategies, cost control, and efficiency improvements.
• Oversee budgets, forecasts, capital planning, and financial reporting.
