Job summary

The Huntington Theatre Company in Boston is seeking an Associate Producer to join the Producing Team in the Artistic Department. The AP will plan and execute productions, events, and artistic programming across the Huntington campus, balancing responsibility and collaboration.

The ideal candidate has 5+ years of professional theatre experience or 3+ years in arts management, strong organizational and communication skills, and proficiency with Outlook, MS Office, Dropbox, and Zoom.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of professional theatre experience or 3+ years in arts management/producing.
• Demonstrated expertise in at least one theatrical discipline.
• Strong organizational, communication, and project management skills.
• Ability to work independently and collaboratively across campus.

Responsibilities

• Serve as Line Producer for one mainstage production and development workshops, readings, residencies, community pop-ups, events.
• Maintain producing calendar and coordinate with departments for smooth planning and execution.
• Provide rehearsal, tech, and performance coverage; liaise between artists and staff; report on progress.
• Coordinate with Front of House, Education, and Access teams on content advisories and accessibility initiatives.
• Assist in soliciting and building opportunities for local artist development and workshops.
• Attend rehearsals, openings, events, and gatherings; build relationships with theatre professionals.
• Collaborate with Education on mainstage initiatives and student matinees.
