Job summary

Brown & Root Industrial Services is seeking a Combination Fab Shop Welder capable of certifying on multi‑process pipe. The role involves laying out, aligning and welding components such as machinery frames, tanks and piping systems per blueprints and metallurgy.

You will perform SMAW, GTAW, FCAW, GMAW, and SUB ARC welding, may require x-ray qualities, and must pass employer certification tests. Safety rules apply across duties and shifts may vary.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Experience with welding in fabrication environments preferred.
• Must be able to pass employer performance/tests for certification standards.

Responsibilities

• Lay out, align and weld components per blueprints.
• Select pipe types and equipment per specs and plan layouts.
• Perform various welding processes (GMAW, SMAW, GTAW, FCAW, SAW).
• Brace and weld components in different positions and joints.
• Operate welding equipment, set amperage/voltage/pulse per procedure.
• Inspect welds for bead size and specifications.
