Job summary

Brown & Root Industrial Services is seeking skilled welders for long-term maintenance projects. You will lay out, weld and assemble metal components such as piping systems, frames and pressure vessels, following blueprints and metallurgy.

The role requires proficiency in SMAW, GTAW and GMAW processes, with attention to safety and quality. Applicants must pass performance tests and work in various positions while maintaining equipment and workplace cleanliness.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent; prior welding experience preferred.
• Ability to read blueprints and metals specifications.
• Capable of working in various body positions and in safety-conscious environments.

Responsibilities

• Selects type and size of pipe per specifications.
• Plans layouts, assembly, and welding using geometry and metal properties.
• Welds using SMAW, GTAW, GMAW and related processes.
• Joins metal components to form piping systems and frames in various positions.
• Operates welding equipment and adjusts amperage, voltage and pulse as required.
• Inspects weld quality and ensures adherence to safety rules.
