Job summary

Brown & Root Industrial Services seeks skilled welders capable of certifying on single process plates and proficient in SMAW or GMAW welding. The role involves laying out, aligning and welding fabricated components to assemble structures such as machinery frames, tanks and vessels in accordance with blueprints and metallurgy.

The position requires ability to select materials, plan layouts, and weld using various processes, with attention to safety and quality.

Qualifications

• Proficiency in welding to fabricate and assemble components per blueprints.
• Ability to read and interpret plans and metallurgy data.
• Commitment to safety standards and quality control.

Responsibilities

• Selects pipe/type and materials according to specs.
• Plans layouts, assembly and welding, applying knowledge of geometry and welding techniques.
• Uses various welding processes as required (GMAW, SMAW, GTAW, SAW).
• Lays out, positions, aligns and fits components for welding.
• Welds and assembles metal parts in multiple positions as needed.
• Operates welding equipment and adjusts settings per procedure.
• Ensures weld quality and performs post-weld cleanup and inspection.
• Maintains tools and workspace in safe condition.
