Job summary

Brown & Root Industrial Services is seeking a skilled welder to lay out, align and weld fabricated components for structural forms such as machinery frames, tanks and pipes. The role requires reading blueprints, selecting appropriate welding techniques, and ensuring weld quality.

You will work with various welding processes, adhere to safety rules, and maintain equipment while supporting project teams on site.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent and related welding experience.
• Knowledge of welding techniques and metallurgy as applied to structural components.
• Ability to read blueprints and use measurement tools accurately.

Responsibilities

• Lay out, align, and weld fabricated components per blueprints and specs.
• Select welding processes and equipment suitable for each joint.
• Follow safety procedures and wear required protective gear.
• Position and secure parts, check alignment, and ensure weld quality.
• Repair or replace defective welds and parts as needed.
• Maintain welding apparatus and keep the work area clean.
