Brown & Root Industrial Services is hiring a Journeyman Combo Welder at a chemical production facility in Theodore, AL. The role involves certifying on multi-process pipe and welding components to blueprint specifications, with emphasis on SMAW, GTAW and GMAW techniques.

Responsibilities include laying out, welding, assembling and inspecting joints, while following safety and quality standards. Candidates may be required to pass tests and meet certification requirements.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent with field experience.
• Follows established guidelines and instructions under supervision.
• Typically reports to a supervisor or manager.

Responsibilities

• Selects type and size of pipe or materials per specifications.
• Plans layouts and welding, applying geometry and metallurgy knowledge.
• Operates SMAW, GTAW, GMAW or other welding processes as required.
• Lays out, positions, aligns and fits components for welding.
• Ensures safety rules are followed and quality standards met.
