Job summary

WTVA-TV/Gray Media in Tupelo, Mississippi, is hiring a Media Executive to develop multi-platform marketing campaigns for local businesses and ad agencies. You will promote products across our TV stations, WTVA.com, and digital solutions, driving revenue and partnerships in the North Mississippi market.

The ideal candidate is service-oriented, coachable, self-motivated, and adept at building relationships in a goal-driven team environment, with strong interpersonal skills and a proven sales

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent work experience preferred.
• Proven track record in sales and developing new business.
• Experience in TV/Radio/Newspaper or related sales is preferred.
• Experience in a consultative, customer-focused sales environment.
• Must have personal insured transportation & valid driver’s license.
• Must be able to pass a pre-employment background check.

Responsibilities

• Generate revenue across all available platforms.
• Prospect, contact, and present to new businesses to generate new advertising revenue.
• Manage inventory and protect station rate structure.
• Form strategic business and market partnerships.
• Regularly meet with sales managers to ensure progression toward goals.
• Act as negotiator for assigned accounts; ensure proposals align with station strategies.
• Create and deliver sales presentations to clients & agencies.
