Job summary

Warren Averett is recruiting a Controller for a Birmingham, AL manufacturing facility. The hybrid role requires leadership of plant-level financials, standardizing processes across sites, and driving profitability through ERP-driven insights.

You will report to the Corporate VP of Finance, manage cost accounting, budgeting, and CapEx reviews, while ensuring GAAP compliance and internal controls across multiple plants.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
• 5–8 years of progressive manufacturing accounting experience across multiple plants.
• CPA preferred.
• Experience with a multi-site ERP implementation/transition.

Responsibilities

• Lead monthly, quarterly, and annual closes for the plant-level operations.
• Prepare plant-level financial statements, P&L, and balance sheet reconciliations.
• Standardize financial processes across locations and optimize internal controls.
• Partner with Plant Manager for cost-reduction opportunities and ROI analyses.
• Ensure GAAP compliance and support audits.
