Job summary

Schreiber Foods, Inc. is seeking a seasoned Leader for Operational Excellence to drive standardization, discipline, and efficiency across multiple plants.

You will mentor teams, lead DMAIC/Lean projects, and advance safety, quality, and cost initiatives in a hands-on, results-driven environment. The role requires Black Belt and Master Black Belt credentials, extensive experience in high-volume processes, and strong data-driven decision abilities, with up to 15% travel.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree in Engineering or related field.
• 8-15 years experience in Engineering/Operations/Continuous Improvement.
• Minimum 5 years as Black Belt (ASQ) Required.
• 2+ years as Master Black Belt (ASQ) Strongly Preferred.
• Technical Competency - DMAIC, Lean, Kaizen, and Change Management.
• High Volume continuous process flow experience, including experimental design.
• Ability to collect and interpret line information and data.
• Statistical results and financial impact analysis.
• Proficiency in MS Windows, Minitab, MS Office.
• Ability to facilitate team-based training.
• Strong communication and presentation skills.
• DFSS knowledge or experience preferred.
• Strong leadership skills with the ability to facilitate cross-functional projects and build strong working relationships.
• Basic understanding of organizational logistics, inventory, network, supply chain, quality, safety.
• Travel up to 15%.

Responsibilities

• Develop Ops Excellence culture and rollout strategy for plant(s).
• Train, coach, evaluate and reinforce Operational Excellence principles.
• Lead cost and quality improvement initiatives using Six Sigma tools.
• Execute Lean and DMAIC projects impacting plant KPIs.
• Collaborate with Plant Leadership on customer requirements and process capability.
• Update process controls to reflect best practices.
• Ensure compliance with OSHA, USDA, FDA, EPA, EEOC, OFCCP and related regulations.
• Mentor teams in continuous improvement and green belt training.
• Understand core business functions and equipment used.
• Identify potential capital and non-capital improvements.
• Assist with analysis and justification for improvements.
• Stay current with tools and technologies in the food industry.
• Act as center of excellence for cross-functional deployment teams.
• Comply with food safety and quality standards; report issues.
