Job summary

Advocate Health is seeking a Patient Service Representative to support ambulatory care teams across six Park Ridge, Des Plaines, Glenview and surrounding locations. The role involves patient interactions, appointment coordination, and information on tests, bills, referrals, and procedures.

The position emphasizes high-quality service, effective communication, and accurate record-keeping within Advocate Health’s AMG network. Clinic hours align with 7:00 AM–5:00 PM weekdays.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• One to two years related customer service experience
• Experience handling difficult caller/customers/patients.

Responsibilities

• Patient Services: Provides efficient, high-quality service to patients who arrive for appointments or who telephone or visit in person to request appointments or information on tests and procedures, bills and charges, referrals, and other matters.
• Billing Services: Ensures entry at time of service of billing information on the patient and payer and accurate follow-up on missing information.
• Medical Record Services: Upholds standards of the practice and of the medical group for accurate and timely medical records.
