Job summary

Jefferson Health is seeking a Medical Assistant Float to support physicians across multiple locations in the greater Philadelphia region. The role includes patient flow management, assisting with exams and diagnostic procedures, and maintaining accurate vitals and medical histories.

As a Floating MA, you will regularly work at 5+ different locations within your assigned area, ensuring high-quality patient care and efficient operations across sites.

Qualifications

• Excellent communication and organizational skills.
• Knowledge of medical terminology.
• Familiarity with medical office procedures.

Responsibilities

• Interacts with co-workers, visitors and staff following Jefferson values.
• Escorts patients to exam rooms and ensures proper identification.
• Performs and documents vital signs, clinical measures and medical history information.
• Maintains proficiency with IT systems within scope of practice.
• Assists physicians with examinations and diagnostic procedures including EKG and venipuncture/injections.
• Adheres to HIPAA privacy and security requirements.
• Orders clinical supplies to maintain inventory and smooth operations.
