Job summary

Jefferson Health is seeking a Medical Assistant Float to support physicians across multiple South Jersey locations. The role involves patient flow, EKGs, phlebotomy, injections, vitals, and maintaining supplies.

You will regularly work at 3+ sites within the assigned area, ensuring seamless patient care and HIPAA compliance. Ideal candidates have a high school diploma or GED and a NJ-accredited medical assisting program (330 hours).

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• Graduate of an accredited NJ medical assisting program with at least 330 hours, including IM/SC injections.
• Excellent communication and organizational skills; knowledge of medical terminology.
• Able to travel to multiple locations within assigned area and work 3+ sites regularly.

Responsibilities

• Assist physicians with exams and procedures including EKGs, phlebotomy, injections and vitals.
• Escort patients to exam rooms and verify identity.
• Document vital signs and medical histories.
• Maintain and order supplies for the unit; adhere to HIPAA privacy requirements.
