Job summary

D.R. Horton, Inc. is seeking a Superintendent for the DFW Central Division (Richardson, TX) to manage all functions of the job site from permit to occupancy.

You will schedule and supervise subcontractors, conduct homeowner walkthroughs, and ensure safety, quality, and timeliness across multiple homes. This role requires excellent communication, a strong customer-service mindset, and the ability to read construction plans while adhering to local codes.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED; two to four years related experience.
• Ability to manage and complete the 13 Milestones of Construction per JDE.
• Must have a vehicle and valid driver’s license; travel among communities.
• Strong reading of construction documents, drawings, specs, and scopes of work.
• Knowledge of municipal permitting, regulations and building codes.
• Excellent communication with customers and all levels of management.
• Proficient with MS Office and email; ability to use DRH Construction apps.

Responsibilities

• Manage construction schedule and ensure on-time, on-budget delivery of homes.
• Coordinate and supervise subcontractors for all construction phases.
• Conduct homeowner orientation walks and address concerns throughout process.
• Ensure site cleanliness, safety, and quality standards on each home.
• Oversee post-close warranty activities and vendor coordination.
