Job summary

D.R. Horton, Inc. is seeking an Assistant Superintendent for the DFW Central Division based in Richardson, TX.

You will assist the Superintendent in daily on-site activities, coordinating subcontractors, scheduling inspections, and upholding quality standards for new home construction. Responsibilities include ensuring safety compliance, managing budget-conscious decisions, and maintaining excellent customer service throughout construction timelines.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Two years or less in related field experience considered.
• Valid driver’s license; ability to travel among sites.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills.
• Read and interpret construction plans and specs.

Responsibilities

• Assist Superintendent in managing the community job site and subcontractors to meet schedule, budget, and quality goals.
• Schedule inspections and walk-throughs with inspectors and homeowners.
• Monitor safety compliance and enforce site safety standards across projects.
• Ensure homes meet plans and quality standards before homeowner walk-throughs and closings.
• Support material management to prevent damage and waste; help control costs.
