Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• ESSA Title I requires 6 semester hours in childhood education or 2 years of childhood work experience.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office and Google Apps.
• Ability to support diverse learners in core subjects.

Responsibilities

• Provides instructional support to teachers and assists with classroom activities.
• Aids in planning, organizing, and preparing materials according to lesson plans.
• Demonstrates professional skills to support the school program.
• Works with individual students or groups in various classrooms as needed.
• Participates in district staff development and professional growth.
• Maintains a positive disposition and exercises good judgment with students.
• May conduct vision/hearing screenings and enter results in the student records system.
• Performs other duties as assigned.
