Job summary

Carter Lumber is seeking an Installed Sales Construction Project Manager to lead multi-family projects from development through execution. This role ensures open lines of communication between the office and field, coordinating with the Field Superintendent to guide strategic project direction and timely production.

The position requires reviewing plans, schedules, submittals, and material/logistics, while monitoring budgets and ensuring accurate change orders.

Qualifications

• 2+ years’ experience in Commercial Multi-Family construction project management.
• Solid understanding of job site management processes and construction assembly.
• Familiar with safety procedures and practices.
• Understanding of contracts changes to build-out processes and schedules.
• Ability to analyze data and provide recommendations.
• Strong written and oral communication skills.
• Ability to read and comprehend blueprints.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office (Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
• Knowledge of PlanSwift is a plus.
• This position services NE Ohio.

Responsibilities

• Thoroughly review plans, specifications, and project schedule.
• Create a mutually agreed upon schedule of values between Carter Lumber and customer.
• Review take-off to ensure correct quantities and product are ordered and delivered at the appropriate time.
• Send and track submittals for all product until approved for order.
• Obtain labor source and execute Carter Lumber approved labor sub-contract.
• Procure material and advise Field Superintendent of arrival dates.
• Provide customer change orders when necessary.
• Review Field Superintendent daily reports and weekly safety meetings
• Track job progression and monitor project budgets
• Submit pay applications per contract documents with customer.
• Submit and approve pay requests on behalf of sub-contract labor.
• Attend jobsite meetings with customer and other trades as needed
• Set up initial meeting with customer prior to performing scope.
• Attend hand off meetings with sales team to accept new projects
• Review contract scope of work and schedule for accuracy of what is being provided and that durations for installation are acceptable
