Job summary

Carter Lumber seeks a Multi Family Coordinator to support the multi-family sales team and provide excellent customer service to contractors. You will act as the central contact, coordinate bid schedules, and process quotes and orders, helping ensure timely shipment and deliveries.

Responsibilities include maintaining project information, tracking material availability, and collaborating with internal teams to meet deadlines.

Qualifications

• Proven experience in sales and customer service.
• Familiarity with the building materials industry, specifically multi-family construction.
• Understanding of multifamily construction processes, including schedules and material requirements.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with a customer-focused approach.
• Strong organizational and multitasking abilities.
• Ability to work a flexible schedule, including weekends and holidays.
• Proficiency in MS Office tools (Word, Excel, Outlook) and Google Sheets/Smartsheet.

Responsibilities

• Foster strong relationships with contractor clients through exceptional customer service.
• Collaborate with members of the multi-family sales team.
• Coordinate bid schedules and maintain organized project information to support timely responses.
• Coordinate communication between customers and internal teams to keep projects on schedule.
• Ensure adherence to company policies and procedures.
• Process customer orders and help ensure required materials are available and scheduled for timely shipment or delivery.
• Maintain and coordinate door truck and delivery schedules based on project timelines and customer requirements.
• Track material availability and notify relevant parties of any shortages or delays.
• Assist in resolving customer questions, order discrepancies, delivery issues, and other project-related concerns.
• Maintain accurate records and documentation related to customer orders, projects, pricing, estimates, and deliveries.
• Organize, update and maintain MultiFamily estimate log(s)
• Support the multi-family sales team in achieving sales and profit objectives
