Carter Lumber Installed Sales in Canton, OH, is hiring a Construction Project Manager for Multi-Family installed jobs. You will coordinate between the office and field to keep production accurate and timely, working with the Field Superintendent to shape project direction.

Responsibilities include reviewing plans, scheduling values, managing take-offs, submittals, labor contracts, and budgets, with emphasis on safety and clear communication across teams in NE Ohio.

Qualifications

• 2+ years’ experience in Commercial Multi‑Family construction project management.
• Solid understanding of job site management processes and construction assembly.
• Ability to read blueprints.
• Understanding and adherence to safety procedures and practices.
• Proficiency in MS Office (Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint).

Responsibilities

• Thoroughly review plans, specs, and project schedule.
• Create a mutually agreed upon schedule of values between Carter Lumber and customer.
• Review take-off to ensure correct quantities and material are ordered and delivered on time.
• Submit and track submittals for all products until approved for order.
• Obtain labor sources and secure Carter Lumber approved labor sub-contract.
• Procure material and inform Field Superintendent of arrival dates.
• Provide customer change orders when necessary.
• Review Field Superintendent daily reports and weekly safety meetings.
• Track job progression and monitor project budgets.
• Submit pay applications per contract documents with customer.
• Submit and approve pay requests on behalf of sub-contract labor.
• Attend jobsite meetings with customer and other trades as needed.
• Set up initial meeting with customer prior to performing scope.
• Attend hand-off meetings with sales team to accept new projects.
• Review contract scope of work and schedule for accuracy of what is being provided and durations for installation.
