Job summary

The Carter Lumber Company Installed Sales team seeks a Construction Project Manager for multi‑family projects. You will bridge office and field teams to keep projects on schedule, within budget, and aligned with contract scope across NE Ohio.

Ideal candidates bring 2+ years in commercial multi‑family PM, blueprints literacy, and proficiency with MS Office; PlanSwift is a plus. The role offers growth, stability, and a clear path within Carter Lumber’s installed sales division.

Qualifications

• 2+ years’ experience in Commercial Multi‑Family construction project management
• Strong knowledge of job site management processes and construction assembly
• Understand and follow safety procedures and practices
• Understand contracts, changes to build out processes and schedules
• Ability to analyze, solve problems, and compile reports
• Excellent oral and written communication
• Read and comprehend blueprints
• Proficient with Microsoft Office suite; PlanSwift a plus
• Servicing the NE Ohio area

Responsibilities

• Review plans, specs, and project schedule thoroughly
• Create schedule of values with customer and Carter Lumber
• Review take-off quantities and ensure correct orders and timing
• Submit and track product submittals until order approval
• Secure labor sources and execute approved sub‑contracts
• Procure materials and inform Field Superintendent of arrivals
• Provide customer change orders when needed
• Review daily reports and weekly safety meetings
• Track progression and monitor budgets
• Submit pay applications per contracts and pay requests
• Attend jobsite meetings with customer and trades
• Set up initial customer meeting and hand-off with sales
• Verify scope and installation durations are accurate
