Job summary

Carter Lumber Installed Sales is seeking a Construction Project Manager for Multi‑Family projects in the NE Ohio area. You will oversee development, implementation, and management of installed jobs, coordinating closely with the Field Superintendent to set strategic direction and ensure timely production.

You will review plans, manage submittals, labor sourcing, and scheduling while maintaining strong communication with customers and internal teams.

Qualifications

• 2+ years in Commercial Multi-Family construction project management.
• Solid understanding of job-site management processes and construction assembly.
• Observes all safety procedures and practices.
• Knowledge of contracts, changes to build-out processes and schedules.
• Ability to analyze and provide data-driven recommendations.
• Ability to gather data, compile information, and prepare reports.
• Effective oral and written communication skills.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
• Ability to read and comprehend blueprints.
• Proficient in Outlook, Word, Excel and PowerPoint; PlanSwift is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Review plans, specs, and project schedule thoroughly.
• Create schedule of values agreed with customer.
• Review take-off for correct quantities and timing.
• Send and track submittals until order approval.
• Arrange labor and execute approved subcontract.
• Procure materials and advise on delivery dates.
• Provide customer change orders when needed.
• Review daily field reports and safety meetings.
• Track progression and monitor budgets.
• Submit pay applications per contract; manage pay requests for subs.
• Attend jobsite meetings with customers and trades.
• Set up initial meetings with customers before scope work.
• Coordinate hand-offs with sales for new projects.
• Review scope vs. schedule for accuracy and installation durations.
