Job summary

Carter Lumber is hiring an Installed Sales Construction Project Manager to oversee Multi-Family projects in the NE Ohio region. The role emphasizes maintaining open lines of communication between office and field to ensure timely production.

Responsibilities include reviewing plans and schedules, coordinating subcontractors, procuring materials, and managing project budgets. Strong analytical and reporting skills are essential for success.

Qualifications

• 2+ years in Commercial Multi-Family construction project management.
• Solid understanding of Job Site Management processes and construction assembly.
• Observes all safety procedures and practices.
• Understands contracts, changes to build out processes and schedules.
• Able to analyze data and provide recommendations to solve problems.
• Able to prepare reports from gathered data.
• Effective oral and written communication skills.
• Excellent analytical and problem-solving abilities.
• Able to read and comprehend blueprints.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office: Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint.

Responsibilities

• Review plans, specs, and project schedule thoroughly.
• Create a schedule of values agreed with Carter Lumber and customer.
• Review take-off for correct quantities and timely delivery.
• Submit and track submittals through to approval.
• Obtain labor sources and execute subcontract agreements.
• Procure materials and inform Field Superintendent of arrival dates.
• Provide change orders to customers when needed.
• Review daily field reports and weekly safety meetings.
• Track project progression and monitor budgets.
• Submit pay applications per contract documents.
• Submit and approve pay requests for subcontract labor.
• Attend jobsite meetings with customers and trades.
• Set up initial customer meetings before scope work.
• Attend handoff meetings with sales for new projects.
• Review scope and schedule for accuracy and installation durations.
