Job summary

Evolving Solution Services is seeking a Payroll Specialist to process multi-entity payroll for ~275 employees using Paylocity. You will ensure compliance with federal, state, and local regulations, maintain payroll records, and serve as the main contact for payroll inquiries.

Responsibilities include end-to-end payroll processing, timekeeping validation, and payroll reporting. The role collaborates with HR and Accounting to ensure accurate GL reporting and an optimal employee experience.

Qualifications

• 2–4 years of hands-on payroll processing experience, preferably multi-entity/multi-state.
• Experience processing payroll in Paylocity or a comparable HRIS/payroll platform.
• Working knowledge of federal/state wage and hour laws, payroll tax regulations, and garnishments.
• Strong proficiency in Microsoft Excel (VLOOKUP, pivot tables) and MS Office.
• High accuracy, discretion with confidential information, and strong communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Process end-to-end payroll for ~275 employees across 5 entities in Paylocity.
• Review timekeeping data; approve hours, overtime, PTO, and holiday pay.
• Process hires, terminations, status changes, promotions, transfers, and pay-rate changes.
• Manage garnishments, deductions, and post-payroll compliance.
• Deliver payroll reports; reconcile payroll with the general ledger; support audits.
• Respond to employee payroll inquiries with professionalism and confidentiality.
