Job summary

American Benefits Company in Provo, UT, is hiring a Corporate Bookkeeper to own the books for ABC and related entities. This in-house role requires experience with multi-entity bookkeeping, intercompany transactions, and a clean month-end close.

You will manage the general ledger, reconciliations, and consolidated reporting across entities. You will also handle payroll, benefits, and other recurring entries, assist with tax prep and audits, and contribute to budgeting and cash flow tracking.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of corporate bookkeeping across multiple entities.
• Intercompany transactions and multi-entity month-end close experience.
• Advanced proficiency in QuickBooks.
• Strong Excel or Google Sheets skills.
• Understanding of accrual accounting and GAAP.
• Experience preparing financial statements and reconciliations.
• Associates or Bachelor's in Accounting/Finance preferred.

Responsibilities

• Maintain the general ledger for multiple entities with timely entries.
• Record and reconcile intercompany transactions and balances.
• Own the month-end and year-end close for each entity.
• Reconcile bank, credit card, loan, and balance sheet accounts monthly.
• Manage accounts payable and accounts receivable.
• Record payroll, benefits, and other recurring entries.
• Prepare monthly financial statements and consolidated reporting.
• Support tax preparation, 1099 filings, and audits/lender requests.
• Assist leadership with budgeting and cash flow tracking.
• Improve processes to speed up the books and audits.
• Take on additional accounting responsibilities as the company grows.
