Job summary

OnPlace Collective is seeking a Controller to lead all financial reporting across a multi-entity structure. This working role handles policies, close, controls, and payroll processing while guiding AP/AR and client reporting.

Partner with the CEO on profitability and financing needs as the company scales. The ideal candidate brings 8+ years in accounting leadership, Deep QuickBooks Online experience, and a track record of building robust financial processes within a growing real estate-focused

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance.
• 8+ years of progressive accounting experience with full-cycle ownership in a Controller role.
• Multi-entity accounting with intercompany transactions and consolidations.
• Payroll processing experience, ideally via a PEO; passthrough payroll is a plus.
• Fluent with QuickBooks Online and modern expense management tools.
• Proven ability to build or rebuild processes and maintain controls.

Responsibilities

• Own month-end and year-end close across multiple OPC entities with consolidated reporting.
• Oversee payroll processing, reserves, reconciliations, and client reporting.
• Manage inter-company accounting, allocations, and eliminations; present monthly packages.
• Establish accounting policies, internal controls, and escalation triggers.
• Own insurance, compliance, COIs, and regulatory filings for the company.
• Forecast cash, manage banking relationships, and optimize working capital.
• Lead systems evaluation, automation, and process improvements.
• Develop and coach AP/AR staff; partner with CEO on pricing and profitability.
