Proven Recruiting is seeking an Assistant Controller to lead multi-entity accounting operations and provide valuable financial insights that drive performance. You will partner with business leaders, manage month‑end close, and mentor accounting staff to support strategic objectives.

The role offers visibility into organizational performance, opportunities to influence internal controls, process improvements, and automation initiatives within a growing company.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or equivalent experience.
• 5+ years of accounting experience; supervisory role preferred.
• Advanced Excel and Microsoft Office 365 skills with experience in month‑end close, financial reporting, and balance sheet reconciliations.
• Strong leadership, communication, project management, and organizational skills.

Responsibilities

• Prepare monthly financial statements, journal entries, reconciliations, and supporting schedules while ensuring timely and accurate month‑end close processes.
• Analyze financial performance, identify variances, and provide recommendations to management to support budget and operational goals.
• Lead and develop accounting staff through training, coaching, performance management, and ongoing support.
• Partner with leadership to strengthen internal controls, improve processes, support audits, assist with budgeting, and drive automation initiatives.
