Job summary

Hubbell Realty Company is seeking a Floating Maintenance Service Technician to support multiple Des Moines metro communities. This role handles unit make-readies, repairs, preventive maintenance, and timely work order completion with a strong emphasis on safety and resident satisfaction.

The position includes after-hours emergencies, on-call rotation, and overtime as needed. Regular hours are Mon–Fri, 8:00 am–5:00 pm, with coverage across properties and collaboration with property managers.

Qualifications

• Experience performing building repairs and preventive maintenance.
• Ability to follow safety procedures and OSHA guidelines.
• Strong customer service and communication.
• Able to work overtime and on-call as needed.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate maintenance priorities with the Residential Property Manager.
• Diagnose and complete minor to complex repairs.
• Document work and submit service requests daily.
• Respond to after-hours emergency maintenance and on-call duties.
• Inspect exteriors and perform routine upkeep of common areas.
• Inspect vacated apartments and prepare move-in ready units.
• Maintain security of master keys and follow safety policies.
